Hair Loss
Facts
LASERCAPS
The Laser-Cap is a non-invasive approach suitable for men and women utilizing the science of laser stimulation to offer a non-surgical option to the management of hair loss. Low level light therapy has been shown to increase cell metabolism and the health of blood vessels in the scalp resulting in thicker, healthier and more resilient hair shafts.
The Laser-Cap is a practical device allowing you to deliver low level therapy (LLLT) to your scalp in the comfort of your home without the need to attend a costly clinic for an in practice treatment sessions. The same low-level laser technology (LLLT) of the Lasercap is used in hair restoration clinics in the UK. The difference is a clinic would cost you upwards of £2800 and that's just for the initial treatments, without the maintenance up keep.

Our Lasercap device is powered by a rechargeable 5000mah lithium-ion battery pack , the Laser-Cap power source can be clipped on to your clothing or slipped into a pocket, making it simple to use in the comfort of your home or car.
The device covers the entire region of your head simultaneously working to stimulate the scalp and provide energy to the hair follicles both in the resting and shedding phases of the hair cycle with no room for user error. The lasers are hard at work under your hat or cap while you go about your usual activities.
It's all about
Stimulating Regrowth
Male and female pattern hair loss (androgenic alopecia) can effect up to 70% of males and 40% of females during their lifetime. Males typically have a distinctive hair loss pattern, while women will exhibit a diffuse thinning pattern. For both, hair loss can be an overwhelming and frustrating experience. Recognising a need for a clinically proven treatment, National Hair Loss implemented low-level light therapy (Laser Therapy) for hair loss.
Our laser programs have a 98% success rate at stopping hair loss, using the latest and most advanced technology available. Implementing medical grade laser devices (No LED or OTC lasers) are used to stop hair loss and stimulate hair regrowth. Lasers allow for a holistic method to stimulate blood flow providing more oxygen consumption, ATP, nitric oxide release, reactive oxygen species and calcium mobilisation.

Improve overall hair quality, condition and manageability. Lasercaps is a portable and hands-free low level laser therapy device for hair regrowth, designed to deliver laser therapy to the scalp in a convenient and discreet way.

Consistent use of low level laser therapy treats hair loss, hair thinning and has been proven to improve the appearance of hair quality, hair strength and hair thickness in addition to promoting hair growth.
Keep in mind that it takes time for hair to grow. You will not notice results immediately as it takes time to restore follicle health and then for the new strands of hair to grow.
Laser hair restoration works but is a gradual process that requires patience. Lasercaps works by reversing the natural process of miniaturization. Miniaturization occurs as each of the hair follicles weaken with each hair cycle, producing increasingly thinner hair until the follicle dies and ceases to produce hair. Laser therapy has been shown to be effective in reversing miniaturization by stimulating and energizing the scalp cells and increasing blood supply to the hair follicle. This allows the follicle to remain viable and capable of producing thicker, healthier hair.

The following is a general guideline of what to expect in your hair restoration journey.
• 0–3 Months: The first thing you may notice a slight increase in shedding, or no change.
If this is the case, don’t worry. Initial hair shedding is actually a sign that the treatment is working.
Follicles start to rejuvenate the scalp, repairing hair and energizing hair cells.

• 3–6 Months: Regular treatments then strengthen existing follicles, thicken hair, decrease in hair loss and encourages new growth.
• 6-12 Months: New hair continues to develop, while pre-existing hair continues to thicken and regain fuller with visible results.
• 12 + Months: You usually will notice fuller and healthier non greasy hair, but you will need continue to maintain the hair from time to time.
Expect to see the most you can get from Lasercaps at this point. For as long as you continue to comply with laser therapy, you should maintain a fuller head of hair and cessation of hair loss.

LASER Vs LED
Have you ever wondered what exactly is the difference between laser and LED light therapy? There are many differences; let’s take a look at them.
Coherent and Incoherent Light
The major difference between LED and laser light is that laser light is “coherent” and LED light is “incoherent.” This means that laser light photons are in parallel. The light waves have the same frequency and the same phase. In contrast, LED light is what’s called “incoherent.” This means that the light photons and waves do not have the same frequency or the same phase. In other words, LED light spreads out and lots of energy gets wasted. LED light cannot be concentrated or pulsed like lasers can, so it’s impossible to focus the light on specific areas.
Similarly, since LED light cannot be focused like laser light, LED does not penetrate the skin to the extent that laser light does.

Applications of LLLT (Low Level Light Therapy )
Low-level light therapy (LLLT) has been used since the 1960s to treat various medical conditions such as alopecia, chronic ulcers, and chronic pain, headaches, musculoskeletal, and neuropathic pain without major adverse side effects. The use of low levels of visible or near-infrared (NIR) light for reducing pain, inflammation and edema, promoting healing of wounds, deeper tissues and nerves, and preventing tissue damage has been known for almost forty years since the invention of lasers.

While LED therapy definitely has some medical benefits, there is not a long history of research supporting its use for treatment of hair loss. So using a product with LED lights is a gamble.

Feasibility
Three situations. We are not trying to influence your decision. Just a simple discussion that might help you to make the right choice.
LASERCOMB

Has 12 laser diodes. So by combing will help the process of restoration and nutrition to hair follicle. Imagine holding this comb in one single area for 20 minutes ! and change to a different area each time. Can you hold your hand in the same position for 20 minutes?.
HAIR GROWTH HELMET

Usually the helmet is heavy and doesn't fit securely on the head. Laser helmets usually have 54 to 120 lasers diodes the rest are LEDs. Affective treatment for alopecia requires daily exposure to 4j/cm2 of power to a depth of 1cm from a distance of 10-15cm for 20 minutes. The power of one laser diodes is 5mW.
To treat V stage alopecia you would need 27-30 cm2), 270 to 300 laser diodes. Less than 270 isn't successful for V stage alopecia.
LASERCAPS

Convenient, compact and light helmet that you can wear with a baseball cap. Use anywhere and from the outside, the device just looks like a regular baseball cap.
Our 272 laser diodes have 650nm wave length and each diode is 5mw output, which per session is 1360mw. The built in time sensor also has an audible signal that is integrated into each model, so the device will automatically turn off after 30 minutes. Used by physicians and clinics.
Hair Loss Facts
In Women
Hair loss affects an estimated 8 million UK women and over half of all men suffer significant hair loss by the age of 50. Hair loss in women is particularly distressing and often harder to treat than male pattern baldness.
Typically, the first sign of female hair loss is the widening of the hair part on the top of the head, also known as the “Christmas tree effect.” For women this commonly occurs on the top of the scalp, temples, and sides. This pattern is usually the first sign of a woman who is suffering female pattern hair loss due to the conversion of the hormone known to constrict the blood flow to hair, causing hair shafts to miniaturize, follicles to dry, and hair will eventually stop growing. This hormone imbalance also causes inflammation in the scalp causing a tenderness and itchiness.
Women often believe their hair loss is a result of a health issue such as Thyroid, stress, or pregnancy. Those are often factors that attribute to genetic hair loss (androgenic alopecia). Before when the only option was to conceal and camouflage female hair loss there are now treatment options guaranteed to stop hair loss and stimulate hair regrowth. Cutting-edge hair loss solutions include laser therapy and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).
Almost every hair loss treatment is aimed at men, there are few viable options for women’s hair loss treatment, but now there is a treatment which suits both and thats the Laser cap.
Hair Loss Facts
In Men
When you think of hair loss prevention you may think of medications, sticky foams, or expensive shampoos. National Hair Loss provides customized Hair Recovery Programs to offer men a chance to take control of their hair loss with new cutting-edge treatments and top medical expertise.
Male pattern baldness (Androgenetic Alopecia) affects nearly half of all men by the age of 50 and 85 percent of all men have significantly thinning hair by that age..
As men age, their hairline matures and for some men it is the beginning stages of Male Pattern Baldness. According to the Norwood Scale, a man’s hair loss can progress in 7 different stages the first stages can start as early as 16 years of age.
Another hair loss pattern for men is the likelihood of alopecia, men in their 20’s have a 20% chance of hair loss, men in their 30’s have a 30% chance of hair loss, men in their 40’s have a 40% chance, etc. The earlier you start to see hair loss the most likely you will end up with more significant loss sooner. Prevention is key as soon as you notice a problem.
Low-level laser therapy (Laser Therapy) – Laser Therapy is the first completely holistic approach in stabilizing the hair loss without any contraindications with using laser. FDA Cleared in 2015, proven to be safe (no side effects) and effective in stopping genetic alopecia and stimulating regrowth in miniaturized hair. Laser cap can be used alongside topical hair loss treatment such as Minoxidil and male oral hair loss medications such as Propecia (finasteride). Men can benefit greatly from the Laser cap and hair growth may be more significant than using medication alone.
Hair- Transplant Surgery
Facts In Men
We already have a number of hair transplant clinics recommending Laser cap to their patients following hair transplant surgery or as a stand alone treatment to patients who’s hair loss has not progressed far enough to warrant surgery. Hair transplant surgery causes trauma to the nearby hairs causing a number of them to temporarily fall our (shock loss). Low Level Laser Therapy may reduce or even alleviate this and assist the growth of newly planted follicles by:
-
Accelerating the healing process
-
Reducing inflammation and decreasing discomfort
-
Encouraging transplanted hairs to grow faster.
Chemotherapy Induced Hair Loss Facts
In Men and Women
Laser therapy has been shown effective in treating patients with chemotherapy induced alopecia. Those using laser therapy following chemotherapy have seen their hair returning up to 3 months sooner and with normal characteristics. The goal is to stimulate hair regrowth, so hair does not get stuck in dormancy. Laser Therapy is a great option for those who have undergone chemotherapy and want to accelerate hair regrowth and for those who have finished years ago and are still struggling with regrowth.
